Ginger Wildheart, the frontman and founding member of rock band The Wildhearts, was been diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma (MCL), a rare and aggressive type of non-Hodgkin blood cancer.

He publicly shared that he has chosen not to undergo medical treatment, stating that he wants to live out his remaining time with positivity and dignity. He plans to continue writing music and performing live. I had the honour of photographing The Wildhearts at Firevolt Rock festival last month and what a performance.

So much love and respect from the audience which was reciprocated from Ginger and his brilliant band.

Not many of us know how we would personally cope with this type news but I think we can all learn from Ginges approach… live your best life to the full, it’s precious and more fragile than we know.
