All set for day 3. Josh Tongue has been released early from his England duties to join us today and tomorrow. An amaizing bowler and always great to photograph in action.

Lyndon James struck a masterful maiden double-century as Nottinghamshire took control on Day Two against Hampshire.

What a brilliant day. This is exactly what I’ve dreamed of when I started my journey into the world of sports photography. Early start, travelled with the team and spent the afternoon on the pitch with my camera. 📸

Well tomorrow brings a new and exciting experience in my Sports Photography Journey. Traveling with the Nottingham County Cricket 1st Men’s Team to Southampton as their official photographer for the week. A commission I’ve wanted to secure for a while now.

Kits all prepared, batteries charged and lenses polished. The day starts with an early morning train from Derby to Nottingham, stroll to Trent Bride and McDonalds breakfast before I join the guys on the team bus at Lady Bay.

The team are performing really well this season. Cricket is a sport I’ve grown to love and one I have a good eye for in terms of photography. Hopefully I can do the players proud and produce some great photographs.

I’ll be staying in the Hilton Hotel attached to the Southhampton Cricket Ground, have full pitch access with the team during training on Monday afternoon and during the 4 day match.

We also have access to the David Lloyd Gym so my Coast to Coast cycle training can continue in the evenings. That’s creeping up a bit too quickly for comfort!

Back on Friday then it’s straight into my first solo wedding for the lovely Tiff and Danny.
