After a short hiatus, discotech is back!

On November 28, we’re hitting the road and heading from Derby to Nottingham for a special session at one of the city’s most respected underground spaces, Movers. Teaming up with Nottingham’s own Quadrant Soundsystem, we’re bringing together a heavyweight lineup led by Fabric and Wiggle legend Terry Francis, alongside Evasive Records boss Rob Pearson.

Joining them will be discotech founder Jordan Diston, plus Chris Goss, Rich P, Nod, Mike G and more, delivering a soundtrack rooted in rolling tech house grooves, deep cuts and dancefloor-focused selections.

Over the last few months we’ve stepped back, dug deeper and reconnected with what made us fall in love with underground dance music in the first place. We’ve been searching out fresh sounds, discovering new talent and rethinking every aspect of what we do. The result? More carefully curated lineups, proper selectors, a stronger community focus and parties designed to feel more inclusive, intimate and memorable.

This next chapter of discotech is all about creating better experiences, championing genuine music lovers and giving both old-school favourites and emerging talent the platform they deserve.

We’ll be sharing plenty more in the coming weeks, including some exciting additions to the team. But for now, we’re simply looking forward to getting everybody back together where it belongs: on the dancefloor.

See you front left x

Yes guys ❤️

A few months ago we made the difficult decision to pause discotech.

We promised we’d only come back when the time felt right.

Over the last few months we’ve taken a step back and asked ourselves one simple question:

How do we raise the bar?

Not just another party.

A better experience.

A stronger community.

Something that feels fresh, exciting and built for the future.

We’ve spent months rethinking every part of discotech. Building a new team (which is still growing). Exploring new ideas. Challenging ourselves to create something we’re genuinely proud of.

We’re not quite ready to show everything just yet…

But we’re close.

Really close.

The next chapter of discotech is almost here.

See you front left. ❤️

𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 // 📣

We have made the very difficult decision to cancel discotech In The Park and to pause discotech events for the foreseeable future.

We’re 14 years deep in this game. Promoting events around our day jobs, personal commitments, kids and life is hard work. It takes so much passion and resilience.

Jordan has a number of personal challenges at the moment and needs to able to focus on family instead of the stresses that events bring. We are both struggling to give discotech the time we need to ensure the event is a success. The last thing we would want to do is put something on that doesn’t reflect the standards we hold for ourselves.

The game is changing, costs are higher than ever for all of us. We can’t roll the dice as much as we used to on parties. With bigger operational costs comes larger risk and we can’t afford to take that risk. We’re an independent party. Everything comes out of ours / our family’s pockets. It’s no longer looking sustainable for us to continue how we are at the moment.

We’re absolutely gutted about this and are sorry to have let you down.

With the team having more commitments outside of discotech. We need some time to work on what this means moving forward and how we adapt and grow.
discotech has given us the best times of our lives. This is certainly not the end. We will continue to run the label, DJ and spend more time in the studio. There are some showcases outside of Derby confirmed as part of our 14 years tour. These will go ahead this year in Berlin, Birmingham, Leeds, London, Nottingham, Prague and the USA.

If you’ve ever come to any of our events, thank you. We’ve made friends for life and this has been the most amazing journey. We will be back when the time is right.

Smokies, we owe you a collab and what a party it will be when it happens.
