🤝 Meet the Machu PiGchu team 🤝

You might've seen our previous post a few months ago celebrating the first two team members of the 'Machu PiGchu' team taking on the Inca Trail in 2026 for Harry's Pals Charity, and now it's time to introduce our next person...

🥁Next in the lineup is Kömmerling Technical Director of WarmCore and Aluminium Systems, Andrew Charlesworth!

Andrew was part of the PiGs team which climbed Kilimanjaro last year, and this challenge is just as important for him.

"Harry's Pals is very close to my heart. It's named after our middle child, Harry, who is 10 years old. He was born with cerebral palsy and, as a result, has very complex needs. He has the mental age of a three-month-old. He can't walk, talk, eat or do anything for himself without support.

"Ten years ago, when Harry was born, both myself and my wife Hayley looked for support for us. There were hundreds of charities to support Harry, but not one to support parents.

"So, in April 2022, Hayley decided enough was enough and set up Harry Pals to support parents in need, parents with a disabled child or a child with a life-limiting condition. The charity provides counselling and also respite breaks for parents, because if parents can't cope, who will be there for their children?"

The official post show report for FIT Show 2025 has now been published, with some impressive stats, including:

🔴 10,129 individual attendees and 5,325 companies participated
🔴Over 300 exhibitors showcased the latest products and technology
🔴 20 CPD-certified seminars offered expert insight on regulation, sustainability, and innovation
🔴 The event’s digital campaign reached over 4.3 million people, with engagement across web, social, and print channels.

🤝 Supporting the local sports club community 🤝

Tewkesbury-based Window and door manufacturer, Joedan Windows & Doors, says it is committed to promoting local sports teams, including being the shirt sponsor for the Isle of Wight Over-50s Cricket Team.

“When we first began operating on the Island, we quickly came to appreciate the unique sense of community and were eager to give back in meaningful ways.

🚶Eurocell Technical Engineer to take on 20-mile charity hike 🚶

This Friday (8 August), Eurocell Technical Engineer, Shaun Chapman, is lacing up his boots for an emotional and challenging 20-mile charity hike in support of Fairplay, a Chesterfield-based children’s charity supporting young people with disabilities and complex health needs across North Derbyshire.

This year’s walk holds particular meaning for Shaun and the other members of his team, as it will be dedicated to Lucy Hardwick, a much-loved young girl who attended Fairplay’s home-based support group and sadly passed away in August 2024.

Speaking ahead of the hike, Shaun said: “Lucy was an amazing young girl whose smile and laughter lit up the room. It’s not going to be easy work but considering the difficulties some of the families that Fairplay support face, it will be worth it.”
