Life is about taking risks. Recently, I've tried to challenge a few narratives and, because of this, I feel the reach of Connecting communities, Talent & Businesses across the UK 🔗 may have been reduced.

I created this page as a safe space and community hub where people could connect, support one another, and challenge negative narratives that affect our communities.

This is also one of the reasons why I launched Voices and Stories of Derby. I want to see more people speaking out, sharing their experiences, telling their stories, and having their voices heard. Every person has a story that can inspire, educate, or help someone else who may be facing similar challenges.

If I feel something isn't right, I won't simply follow the crowd or stay silent. Healthy discussion and respectful debate are important, even when opinions differ. While I'm not shocked by what social media has become, I still believe it can be a force for good when used to bring communities together.

My advice is simple: never stop protecting your faith, your religion, your culture, and your values. Your voice matters, and sometimes a single voice can make a bigger difference than you realise.

Through Voices and Stories of Derby, I hope to encourage more people from all backgrounds to share their journeys, celebrate their successes, discuss their challenges, and help create a stronger, more connected community for everyone.
