My name is , I'm a Thai boxer from Derby and have fought on shows such as SKS Empire and the Muay Thai Grand Prix (MTGP)
I've always been a fan of combat sports but my youth ended up being all football, football, football where I was competing at a high level on the non league circuit, so I never really got the opportunity to try it for myself.
Then one day I decided to give MMA a go and I enjoyed it but as I went further into my journey I just fell in love with Thai Boxing and the culture surrounding it and haven't looked back since.
A big highlight for me was competing on MTGP at the end of 2025 in Sheffield. Competing on MTGP has been a goal of mine for a while now and to get the chance to fight on their big end of year show under some of the biggest names in UK Muay Thai was a really exciting opportunity.
There's too many challenges !! Intense training whilst in a calorie deficit for weeks on end, something's always sore or aching, the weight cut on fight week is never nice and your reward for the effort is to get in the ring with another lad, who's been through the exact same process and more often than not wants it just as much as you.
But we do it because it's part of the process and we have discipline. Something we don't see a lot of nowadays.
However, the bottom line is although it's tough, we ultimately do it because we love it and it's something we want to do.
My advice to anyone thinking about doing Thai Boxing or any combat sport for that matter, would be to buy some gloves and just do it! The thought of doing something is always way worse than actually doing it.
Your favorite fighter was a beginner once, they didn't have a clue what they were doing, but they took action and looked at them now! In terms of my own goals and aspirations, I just want to be the best Thai boxer I can be and continue to fight on the biggest shows available to me.
If that's belts and titles then fantastic! If it's a "journey man" win some lose some career, I will be able to sleep well knowing I at least gave it my all.
