The face of a woman who’s just handed control of her entire kid-free Saturday over to a robot. 😳😂

Yesterday I was sat here with approximately 47,292 ideas of how to spend my child-free weekend, completely overwhelmed by the options.

So naturally, I’ve decided the solution is to let ChatGPT make ALL my decisions today. 🙈

I’ve given it a £20 budget, told it I want a mixture of things at home and at least one trip out, and I’m asking it what to do one task at a time.

I have absolutely no idea where this day is going.

All I know is that it had better understand the importance of my morning coffee. ☕😂

Please tell me I’m not the only person who lets a tiny job become a MASSIVE job in their head. 😂

My bedroom has been annoying me every single time I’ve walked into it… and yet apparently actually doing something about it was completely out of the question. 🙈

So today I stopped waiting for the motivation to magically appear, set myself a 10-minute timer and just started.

No whole-day clean. No perfectly organised house. Just 10 minutes to see what difference I could make.

And THIS is exactly why I need to start timing the jobs I avoid… because the amount of time I spend thinking about doing them is ridiculous. 😂

What job have you been putting off that would probably take you hardly any time at all?

The kids have gone to their dads for the weekend and I’m now sat here trying to decide which of the 47,292 ideas I’ve had all week I’m actually going to do.

I’ve spent days thinking about all the things I could get done with a bit of child-free time, but now it’s here? I’m overwhelmed by the options and there’s a very real chance I’ll end up doing absolutely nothing. 🙈

First big decision of the weekend… DINNER.

Do I:
🍳 Be a responsible adult and cook?
🥪 Have a lazy tea?
🥡 Order a takeaway?
🍽️ Take myself out for a meal?

Honestly, at this rate I’ll still be sat here deciding at 9pm. 😂

What would you do? And please tell me I’m not the only one who gets overwhelmed by having TOO MUCH choice!

Random morning musing while drinking my coffee… ☕😂

Why do we make children share?

I mean, obviously it’s lovely to be kind and considerate, and learning to take turns is important. But it’s funny how the rules seem to change when we become adults.

Debbie doesn’t turn up to the office with a brand-new car and get told she’s had long enough and now it’s Sharon’s turn. 😂

So at what point do we go from “you need to share” to “actually, that’s yours and you can decide who uses it”?

And is there a difference between teaching children to share and teaching them that they’re allowed to say no?

I haven’t got some grand parenting theory here. It’s just one of those random thoughts that’s popped into my head and now I need to know what everyone else thinks. 🙈

Over to you, parents, grandparents, teachers… what’s your take on sharing? Is it something children should be expected to do, or should they always have a choice?

AD | Gifted Stay 🏰

Turns out our Disneyland Paris accommodation had a whole lot more going for it than just somewhere to sleep… 👀

We stayed at Camping Country Park in Crécy-la-Chapelle, around 20 minutes from Disneyland Paris, and I wanted to show you the facilities!

A swimming pool, inflatable playground, bakery and space for the kids to enjoy themselves — exactly the sort of things that make a family trip that little bit easier.

We’d actually chosen and booked Country Park ourselves before our stay became a gifted collaboration, and we’d happily return. 💜

Would you consider staying at a campsite for your Disney trip?

This is how my mum eats her sausage rolls and I have SERIOUS issues with it.

Apparently slicing it into little pieces is perfectly normal behaviour?!

Personally, I think a sausage roll is meant to be picked up and eaten like a sausage roll. Not served like a five-course tasting menu. 🙃

I need you all to settle this because Mum clearly thinks I’m the unreasonable one here.

Being a mum isn’t actually that hard.

You just wake up tired, keep everyone alive, answer approximately 4,000 questions, locate 37 missing objects, feed people who apparently hate everything you cook…

then go to bed and do it all again tomorrow. 😂 Easy really.

I've been clearing out my old bedroom at Mum's and LOOK what I found!!

I got Pinky Punky for my birthday and I remember being SOOOOO excited about it. 🥹
Wacaday, Timmy Mallett, Mallet's Mallet… what an era!

And somehow, all these years later, he's still been sitting in my childhood bedroom waiting to be rediscovered. 😂

I absolutely love finding things like this. One look and you're transported straight back to being a kid.

Apparently I can't even enjoy a coffee without turning it into some sort of competition with myself. 😂☕️

I love my quiet mornings before the kids wake up. It's usually my chance to have a coffee in peace before the day properly begins.

But this morning I decided to see how much I could get done before that coffee went cold.
Because why simply drink your coffee when you can create an entirely unnecessary challenge for yourself?! 🙃

A bit of housework, a few morning jobs and regular coffee temperature checks later…

Well, you'll have to watch to see how I got on. 😂

The real question is whether I actually managed to enjoy any of that coffee while it was still hot.

Anyone else make a coffee, get distracted doing approximately 47 things and then remember it exists when it's stone cold?! 👇
