As part of The Women’s Land Army Memorial Trust, I had a lovely day marking the 80th Anniversary of VE and VJ day at Gressenhall in Dereham for their Home Front Stories in Norfolk 1945. We were raising awareness of what the Land Girls did to keep the nation fed during WW2, and beyond. Our main aims are to make a resource pack for every primary school in Suffolk, to make an online roll of honour, and to create a permanent memorial to remember these amazing women.

We will be here with the Wickhambrook History Society for their VJ DAY 80th Anniversary Commemoration at the Wickhambrook Memorial Social Centre on Sunday 17th August between 2pm - 6pm.

Refreshments, music and our very own Nicky Reynolds is giving a talk.

What a day at the Whepstead Tractor Rally! 🚜
Glorious sunshine, new and classic tractors shining proudly. It was fantastic to see so many families enjoying the day together.

It's days like this, witnessing the smiles of children that makes me proud of writing Chesnut and Daphne, my children’s book, hoping to encourage more girls to get into farming. Seeing young children light up today reminds me why I wrote the book in the first place.
