NIOldSkool is extremely proud to bring you a full-on audio-visual experience, a unique concept that aims to take you right back to the heart of the best nights of your youth – a one off opportunity for you to relive those moments again through the medium of sight, sound and spine-tingling memories.
For this project we are honoured to team up with DV CREW SCOTLAND, the UKs largest archive of original dance culture footage, to bring you the Premiere of “NIOldSkool – A Moment In Time” – a full length POV movie featuring exclusive unseen footage of some the most memorable nights ever captured inside Northern Irelands most iconic venues
Featuring the biggest PA’s, your favourite DJs and the raw intensity and emotions of YOU fully in the moment – shot directly through the eyes of those in the middle of the dancefloor. Do you remember the cameras? We fully expect many of you to witness yourselves and your friends together in pure raw energy in this immersive experience
This movie will be presented only ONCE, to an extremely limited number of people, in a full cinema style setup, immersed in up to a dozen addition large digital screens, with a full surround sound audio system. A euphoric assault on the senses - It will NOT be uploaded, it will NOT be captured, it will NOT be repeated. Just together again in the moment – A Moment In Time.
FROM YOUR HEART – THROUGH YOUR EYES – AS IT HAPPENED
This will be followed with a Q&A Session hosted by club & radio legend Neal McClelland, giving those lucky attendees an opportunity to share the experiences and memories of two of NI’s most inspirational resident DJ’s , X-RAY and GLEAVE E D.
We then continue to the club where, in a revival of our extremely successful NIOLDSKOOL Journeys By DJs parties, you will be taken on an extensive journey through the record boxes of both DJ’s, who will showcase the inspirations and iconic moments of their golden years – from their earliest influences to their peak time memories, the forgotten gems through to the ultimate club classics. This promises to be an expertly programmed evening of house and early trance –the perfect antidote to the modern era where short quickfire sets and 60 second reels have become the norm.
As our NIOldSkool OG DJ X-RAY hangs up his headphones at the end of 2025, we invite you to experience a set like no other that you will hear in his retirement year … Thank you for the memories Ray, and for one last Moment In Time … Much love and respect from the NIO Crew…
