Drive105 Fuels Local Football Talent with Sponsorship of Amelia McMonagle for the SFAI Gaynor Cup

Drive105 is thrilled to announce its official sponsorship of rising football star Amelia McMonagle as she prepares to compete in the prestigious SFAI Gaynor Cup.
In a special presentation captured in the Drive105 studio, Drive105 Station Manager Felix Healy proudly handed over a sponsorship cheque to Amelia, cementing the station's commitment to supporting homegrown athletic talent.
Amelia McMonagle, a highly talented Striker who plays her club football for Phoenix Athletic F.C., has earned a coveted spot on the Derry & District Select squad.
Heading to the National Stage
The SFAI Gaynor Cup is widely recognized as the premier youth football tournament in Ireland for Under-14 girls. Held annually at the University of Limerick, the high-profile competition brings together selected regional league teams from all across the country and serves as a vital platform for the FIFA Women's Development Programme.

Presenting the cheque, Drive105 Station Manager Felix Healy—himself a former Derry City league-winning manager and player—expressed the station's immense pride in backing Amelia's journey:

"Drive105 is deeply rooted in the North West community, and nothing makes us prouder than championing our local youth.
