This morning the kids did that thing, the classic “I don’t want to go in” wobble at the door!
Big emotions. Big resistance. Big nope.

A long weekend away spent with family celebrating my father in laws 80th! Good times, the cousins had a great time! The place was amazing!

But now it’s back to reality.. kids are heading back to school this week… now starting year 10 and 11!

For me it’s also now time to focus and fill the gaps in my diary.

I love what I do. My main income is from creating social media content, but I’m also now expanding my logo design service and also marketing collateral.

I’d love to design more exhibition stands and car wraps, and I’d love to do more logo work. But whatever the job as long as it’s creative give me call.

I know these are unusual times and financially difficult, but investing in marketing, retaining a voice will benefit your business long term.

Another logo rescue completed at Gorilla HQ. 😀

A client came to me last week excited about the logo they’d made with AI. (fair enough)

However, the client new although it looked ok at first glance…it had blurry edges and was just not usable across multi media platforms. No proper file formats. No single‑colour versions.

Basically: great for a quick mock‑up, useless for real‑world branding.

So the Gorilla stepped in... One week later, they’ve got:

Apologies I’ve gone a bit quiet on my socials again… DOH! 😱
Sometimes life hands you too many plates, not enough hands, and absolutely zero spare brain cells to sprinkle on top.

We’re all human. We’re all running businesses in a world that feels like it’s permanently stuck on “hard mode”. Some weeks you’re flying, other weeks you’re just trying to keep the wheels on and showing up online becomes one more thing on the never‑ending list.

🚣So if you’re in the same boat, don’t sweat it.

It doesn’t mean failure. It means you’re doing your best with what you’ve got. 👍

I read a brilliant article recently called “Run the dishwasher twice.”
It’s not actually about dishwashers, it’s about giving yourself permission to make life easier when everything feels heavy.
Do the simple thing. Take the shortcut. Remove the pressure.
