🚨 End of an Era Alert 🚨

Meta is officially retiring the Facebook Like & Comment buttons on third-party websites, effective Feb 10, 2026.

These plugins once defined the social web, but declining use and evolving privacy expectations mean they’ll soon vanish quietly. For site owners, no action is needed the buttons will simply fade out.

👉 What this means for businesses:

Engagement is shifting back onto platforms themselves.

External “social proof” tools are losing relevance.

It’s time to rethink how you drive community interaction and brand visibility beyond the old blue thumbs-up.

This broadcast messaging option lets creators share updates directly with their followers in a more structured way, almost like a noticeboard inside the app.

It’s designed to make announcements clearer and easier to find, whether that’s event info, product drops, or community updates.

This week’s update takes a serious turn...

While we try to bring you laughs and lighthearted antics, today we’re looking at the statistics behind mens su***de in the UK

The reality in the UK:
➡️Around three-quarters of all su***des are men.
➡️Suicide remains the leading cause of death for men under 50.
➡️Rates are highest among men aged 45–49.

These numbers are stark, but they’re not the whole story. Behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a community. Talking openly, checking in on mates, and breaking down stigma can make a real difference.

At Gorilla, I believe in using our platform not just for entertainment but to raise awareness. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out to a trusted friend, family member, or professional support service.

Hashtags in 2025: Are They Still Worth It? Gorilla’s Take 👊

Turns out, hashtags aren’t totally dead, but they’re limping.

Here’s the no-BS breakdown:
🧠 What Actually Works Now
• LinkedIn: Still loves 1–3 hashtags. Keeps your post discoverable without looking desperate
• Instagram: Use 3–5 max. Anything more screams 2017
• TikTok: Hashtags help with niche discovery, but AI does the heavy lifting
• Facebook: Don’t bother. Hashtags do sweet FA for reach
• X (Twitter): Still relevant for trending convos, but not for long-term visibility
