Decisions.
1. - Many of you will know that I had a liver transplant about a year ago. Over the last few months it has gone a bit wonky - a problem with bile drainage. The consultants have tried varying meds and looked at stents but now think that the best option is to consider a 2nd transplant. I have an assessment for that at The Royal Free hospital on May 1st. There’s no way of knowing when that all might happen - last time it was a few weeks but next time could be weeks, months or even years plus at least 6 months recovery.
2. We are likely to be moving to Shakespeare’s own county in Warwickshire in the next few months (closer to some of the wider family). Mags has had an offer accepted.
I’ve been refitting the studio for a while but everything has slowed down as my health issues have gathered pace. So I’ve decided to close the studio down and get it ready for relocation and downsizing. We hope to reinstall in the garage of the new house. It will be smaller so probably more suited to duos. I’d like to have it ready to move before transplant 2 takes place - ideally it would’ve moved by then to the new house, but it won’t be anywhere near unless I stop the refit and start breaking it down. There will be a load of stuff going up for sale as I whittle down the kit to the new footprint.
So thanks everyone for being part of our universe. It will continue elsewhere as a solar system once I have got past this pesky op (assuming assessment goes OK).
BTW- my parting au revoir will be completion of The Utopia Strong session that we recorded last year that up till now I’ve not managed to turn around.
Meanwhile here’s a pic of a Kandinsky cushion cover that we picked up at the marvellous Frameless exhibition in London a few months back!!!
