And for those who missed the memo…
We’re offering FREE men’s sessions throughout Men’s Health Awareness Month to encourage more guys to experience the benefits of Reformer Pilates.

Our first group being joined by a couple of our ladies came through today — here they are👆

Reformer Pilates isn’t just for flexibility — it’s one of the most effective, low-impact ways to build strength, mobility and resilience. Here’s why more men are adding it to their training:

🔥 Build functional strength
Target the deep stabilising muscles you often miss in the gym.

🏃‍♂️ Improve mobility & flexibility
Move better, lift better, and reduce everyday stiffness.

🧠 Enhance body awareness & control
Perfect for improving your form in other sports and training.

⚽️ Reduce injury risk
Strengthens joints, improves movement patterns and supports recovery.

🏋️ Compliments weight training
Better core strength = better lifts and better performance.

Want to join in? Send us a message for more info!
(*one free class per person, no cash alternative available)

🌟FREE Pilates reformer sessions available for men!🌟
Men, it’s time to make Pilates part of your fitness routine 💪
As November approaches and we mark Men’s Health Awareness Month, we’re shining a light on the benefits of Pilates Reformer for men — and we’ve got a special offer just for you.

Pilates is more than a “women’s workout”. In fact, the article “Why men should be doing a lot more Pilates” in
The Guardian highlights how men playing rugby, recovering from injuries, or simply seeking better core strength are discovering the huge value of Pilates.

Read it here:https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2025/oct/19/why-men-should-be-doing-a-lot-more-pilates

Here’s why you should give it a go:
• Builds core strength and stability — great for movement, sport and everyday life.
• Improves posture, mobility and flexibility — helping counter desk-sitting or repetitive stress.
• Supports injury prevention and quicker recovery — strong core + controlled movement = fewer setbacks.
• Enhances mental focus — the mindfulness, breath and body awareness in Pilates help you reset.
• Breaks down the myth that Pilates is “just for women” — it’s for everyone who wants to move better and feel stronger.

Special offer: To help more men get on board, we’re offering a FREE reformer Pilates class (men only) on selected sessions throughout the month of November. No strings — just reach out to book your slot and we’ll get you sorted!

📩 DM us or contact [email protected] to reserve your place — spaces are limited, so don’t wait!

✨ Ladies — tag a man who could really benefit from Pilates! Whether it’s a partner, friend, brother or dad, help them discover how much stronger and more mobile they can feel.

Let’s challenge norms, build strength and support men’s health together. Your body (and mind) will thank you.

(*Only one free class per person. No cash alternative available, Only specified classes
available, 6.30am, 7.30am, 12:30pm classes throughout the week and Thursday 5.15pm and 6.30pm)

✨ Meet Emma! ✨

If you’ve joined one of our evening or weekend reformer sessions, you’ve probably already experienced Emma’s calm energy and creative style. With a background in sports massage, she brings a deep understanding of how the body moves — blending strength, recovery, and flow into every class.

Emma’s sessions are all about feeling good while getting strong — think smooth transitions, thoughtful challenges, and that post-class “ahh” feeling.

🧡 Catch her on the reformer:
• Wednesday – 7:45 pm
• Friday – 6:15pm
• Sunday – 9:30 am

We’re so lucky to have her as part of the KC Pilates family (and yes, Bryn the studio dog thinks so too!)

Have you taken one of Emma’s classes yet?

🦘 What on earth is the Jump Board?! (Spoiler: it’s not trampoline class 😂)

We know what you’re thinking… “Jump board? Are we actually jumping?!”
Don’t worry — this isn’t Pilates meets Parkour. You’re not about to launch yourself across the studio (we’d never do that to our reformers 😉).

The Jump Board is a flat, padded platform that attaches to the end of the reformer. It lets you perform controlled, low-impact jumping while lying on your back — so you get all the benefits of plyometric (jump-style) movement without the harsh impact on your joints.

💡 Why we love it:
• Builds leg and glute strength
• Challenges your core stability and coordination
• Adds a fun cardio element to your session
• Supports bone density by safely loading your bones through gentle impact — a key factor in keeping them strong as we age 🦴

So, no — you’re not doing star jumps on the reformer. But you are getting stronger, fitter, and boosting your bone health… all while lying down. Pretty clever, right?

Have you tried our jump classes yet? Let us know in the comments!

How to get on and off the reformer!!
🎥 Step 1: Get on the reformer.
🎥 Step 2: Try to look graceful doing it.
🎥 Step 3: Accept that the reformer usually wins. 😅

It may sound silly, but this can seriously be the hardest part of class!
We promise — once you’ve nailed your mount and dismount, you’re basically a pro 💪✨
