So because I'm participating in Small Business Week I'll be sharing some insights about what it means to own an independent art gallery selling original artwork here in Tickhill since 1989.

Sometimes an art gallery can look a bit intimidating but I try my level best to give Davie Fine Art a warm and welcoming 'homely' feel full of surprises when people venture inside.

For example, take today when I looked out to see the smiling faces of a lovely couple who were transfixed by this stunning Kingfisher painting and came inside to chat about it.

Having dealt with this particular artist, Carl Whitfield and having sold his work consistently for almost 25 years there was nothing I couldn't tell them about his amazing career.

This is the genuine caring, personal touch and relatability you get when you buy from an independent which you won't get from a faceless multinational selling art.
