Track 3 on the EP is "A Gift From The Sky".
A Gift From The Sky is my most personal set of lyrics on this EP and they mean a lot to me. It is themed on the belief in spirits watching over us all. I am a strong believer of this after my nanna passed away a few years back and other past relatives as well as family cats.
After my nanna passed away back in 2019 I started seeing a lot of signs like white feathers and robins which are the most common signs. I've had these encounters many times over the years after visiting her grave and other times, same with my other passed loved ones including my granddad and I find these signs very comforting
The idea of Gift came last year, if I remember correctly I went to see my nanna and after I left I saw a white feather. That night I went out for a boogie in town and while cooling off after busting some moves, the idea of writing about this came into my head and the title then popped into my head, so I typed it onto my phone and the theme so I wouldn't forget. Some time later I decided to write it and the words were written onto paper and it was completed. I was very happy with the result
Fast forward to September this year after work began on the EP, CJ sent me the music in its rough draft and I thought this would be ideal for Gift, it fit perfectly with the lyrics.
When coming up with the tune, I thought I can't sing this on my own, I suggested a female vocalist. I reached out to Holly of Disconnected Souls if she was interested, she said yes, filled her in on the song, got us all on a group chat. We all did our parts and threw some ideas in each, I sent the tune over and had the ideas for the movie samples at the beginning and end of the song, which I thought fit perfectly , CJ worked his magic with the music and Holly worked her magic on her amazing voice.
The end result exceeded all expectations and I am Incredibly proud of how it turned out. CJ did a superb job with the music and mastering, Holly with her beautiful voice gave it so much life and emotion into the song, I was and still am mesmerised by. She was such a sweetheart to work with and nailed all expectations and beyond. I'm incredibly proud of both Holly and CJ
A Gift From The Sky is about missing our passed loved ones but knowing they're still with us when they send those white feathers or robins, or whatever sign we all see. It can be about anyone, a parent, partner, sibling, grandparent or even a fur baby

"I was honoured to be asked to feature on such a personal and meaningful song. I enjoyed CJ's instrumental layout from the first demo I heard, and it was great to see the vision come to life. While there are sombre moments, 'A Gift From The Sky' is hopeful and uplifting, and I think others may find it comforting for their own grief or moments of sorrow."
