Stop press!!
Mediatech Ltd an international media buying advertising agency, specialising in print media and TV advertising, based in Ramsey in the Isle of Man, are proud to announce that they will be sponsoring Ian Hutchinson, Conor Cummins and Dean Harrison in the forthcoming Isle of Man 2017 TT races.
Mike Ellis, Mediatech Company Director commented;
“Based on the Isle of Man, the road racing capital of the world, it seems only natural that Mediatech should become involved in the sponsorship of motorsport. We are proud that our sponsorship enables many talented riders to achieve success. We like to use our involvement in motorsports as an enjoyable way to entertain our clients and to raise our company profile”.
38-year-old "Hutchy" from Bingley in West Yorkshire is the only rider ever to win five TT victories in one week. With fourteen TT wins and twenty two podium finishes under his leathers he is at the top of his game.
In 2013 he won the Macau Grand Prix. In 2015 he had a dramatic return to top form with three wins as well as second and third places at the 2015 Isle of Man TT races
Ian Hutchinson said – “I’m happy to be sponsored by Mediatech Advertising, especially as they are based on the island in Ramsey and the staff there are great supporters of the sport. It's great they are supporting not only myself but also the Isle of Man TT Races. This will be my first sponsorship by Mediatech for the TT but hopefully there will be further sponsorships in the future."
2017 will be the Ramsey-based rider Conor Cummins' 12th year of competing in his home event and as well as a change in teams to Padgett’s Honda, there’s also a change in his starting position this year. After eight years with the number ten plate, the now 30-year old moves up the order in 2017, starting at number seven, ten seconds behind Michael Dunlop and ten ahead of the returning Guy Martin.
The eighth fastest rider of all time with a lap of 131.767mph, Cummins has taken six podiums during his TT career, the last of which came in 2014 when he took second and third places respectively in the Senior and Superbike races and he’ll be hoping a complete switch to Clive Padgett’s family orientated team will propel him back onto the rostrum this time around.
Conor Cummings said – “I am very happy to be sponsored by Mediatech, a local advertising agency based in my home town of Ramsey, here on the Isle of Man. It’s great to be part of the team and we are looking forward to a successful TT and racing season in 2017”.
Twenty eight year old Yorkshire man Dean Harrison is already an Isle of Man TT winner and is regarded as one of pure road racing's next generation of prolific "between the hedges" champions. He was top of the Duke Road Race Rankings Championship for 2016, becoming only the second Englishman to win the title since the series started in 2002. Dean became the fastest newcomer at the 2014 Ulster Grand Prix becoming the first to break the 130mph barrier in the process and enjoyed notable success at Oliver's Mount, Scarborough, winning the C**k o' the North Trophy in both 2013 and 2014. He became one of only fourteen riders to lap the TT course at more than 130 mph. He is delighted to be sponsored by Mediatech Advertising.
Dean Harrison said" "I'm absolutely thrilled to be sponsored by Mediatech Advertising, an Isle of Man company who are clearly passionate about promoting road racing and motorsports. It's great that they are keen to sponsor the next generation of riders like myself. Over the last five years I've improved year on year and look forward to another successful year in 2017."
