Using my Fallen Stars Tsuki from - I think I might be able to squeeze August in before it’s time to find a new one!

The Soot Sprites (すすワタγƒͺ, Susuwatari, lit. "Travelling Soot" a.k.a. "Mak-kuro Kurosuke") are spirits that appear in the films My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away. They are small, round balls made from the soot that dwells in old and abandoned houses and leave black dirt in their wake. If the house becomes inhabited, they decide if the inhabitants are nice people. If they are, they will leave.

One can feed Soot Sprites like how a farmer feeds chickens, throwing handfuls of Kompeitō (a hard Japanese candy) from a bucket onto the ground for them to pick up and eat.

Sometimes getting started is the hardest thing to do. It certainly can be for me! Day 7 of Journal In My Style - Summer Bucket List! 🌞

I *never* get more than one or two things ticket off of my seasonal bucket lists! And that then eventually leads to feeling sad and guilty!

To combat that I’m using sticky notes instead, so that I can swap them out, changing my goals or adding in new ideas!

Obviously the maximalist in me broke free πŸ˜‚ I’ll tag away, and the gifted items are:
