OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT – THE GAMBIAN BLADE RUNNER BRAND 🇬🇲

Today, I am proud to officially introduce THE GAMBIAN BLADE RUNNER — our logo, our brand, and our new project.

My name is Ebrima Jallow, the first and only Gambian amputee Blade Runner. Together with my coach, Dawda Danso, we have created this brand to represent strength, resilience, independence, and self-belief.

This logo is more than just a design.
It represents my journey as an amputee athlete, advocate, influencer, and motivational speaker.
It represents hope for persons with disabilities.
It represents doing our level best and not depending on anyone, but standing strong through hard work and determination.

As part of this project, we are introducing Gambian Blade Runner merchandise, including:

T-shirts
eShirts
Singlets

By wearing or buying our brand, you are not just purchasing clothing you are supporting advocacy, motivation, and representation for amputees and persons with disabilities.

I am currently preparing to take this journey further by participating in the Kilimanjaro Marathon in Tanzania, and this brand is part of that mission to show Gambians and the world that disability is not inability.

Chairman Yankuba Darboe has officially accepted the invitation to serve as the Chief Launcher of Atiken Magazine.

Atiken is a magazine that features ten outstanding young Africans—the real builders and change-makers of our continent.

The magazine will be officially launched at the Youth Impact Summit on Saturday, 27th December 2025, at the SDK International Conference Center, starting at 10:00 a.m.

Atiken Magazine drives its name from “Atika”, a Jola word meaning “a fighter for a good cause.” True to this meaning, Chairman Yankuba Darboe has emerged as a bold and principled leader, widely recognized by young people for his strong stance against corruption. His actions have restored hope among young people, proving that public service can be rooted in integrity, patriotism, and accountability.

He leads not from a distance, but from the ground, ensuring that commitments are translated into action. His leadership reflects courage, truth, and transparency, placing country and people above personal interest.

Chairman Yankuba Darboe is the embodiment of Atiken , a fearless fighter for a good cause, a champion of truth, a firm opponent of corruption, and a defender of transparent accountability.

The Gambia will host the Youth Impact Summit 2025 on Saturday, December 27th at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Centre, bringing together 500 young Africans from across the continent for a day focused on leadership, innovation, and opportunity.

The summit will feature youth business pitch sessions, engagement with investors and philanthropists, roundtable discussions with political youth leaders, national and international speakers, breakout sessions on leadership, activism, and entrepreneurship, alongside networking and cultural performances.

A major highlight will be the official launch of Atiken Magazine, a new pan-African publication celebrating outstanding African youth. Organisers say the event is designed to move beyond dialogue by delivering real connections, funding pathways, and visibility for youth-led initiatives.

Young leaders, entrepreneurs, students, partners, and supporters are encouraged to take part and be part of a continental movement shaping Africa’s future through youth leadership.
