Profits Surge for AFVs ππ‘
I came across some fascinating figures from Dealer Auction's latest EV Performance Review (EVPR). It's a great time to be in the market for alternatively fuelled vehicles (AFVs), with both demand and profits on the rise!
Here's what October looked like:
* Age of AFVs dropped from 4.5 years to 3.8 years βοΈ
* Average mileage decreased from 46,804 to 38,263 miles βοΈ
* Average retail margin soared to Β£2,953 βοΈ
* Bids went up to 5,332 βοΈ
The Volvo XC90 hybrid shone the brightest, achieving an impressive average margin of Β£6,696. This marked its fifth month in a row at the top, followed by other strong performers like the Lexus RX Hybrid (Β£4,149), Toyota RAV4 Hybrid (Β£3,209), and Suzuki Ignis Hybrid (Β£2,328). π
The Mitsubishi Outlander Hybrid was the fastest-selling AFV, averaging just 26 days to sell.
According to Kieran TeeBoon from Dealer Auction, demand for three to four-year-old hybrids and EVs is outpacing supply, creating a very competitive market. With the Autumn Budget in sight, we're all eagerly watching for any changes that could impact fleet management and the supply of younger EVs in the used market.
With these insights, it's clear that the AFV sector is booming right now! If you're in the market or considering making a switch, now might be the perfect time.
