🌟 Why Time Matters in Social Media 🌟

When it comes to social media, consistency is key – but for many business owners, it’s easier said than done.

Take one of my clients, a busy joinery company in Dundee. The owner once told me, "We’re so focused on getting jobs done, I barely have time to think about what to post – let alone do it consistently."

They were juggling client meetings, on-site work, and managing a small team. Social media felt like just another task on an already overflowing to-do list.

We decided to keep it simple. Together, we developed a content plan that highlighted their craft and the trust they built with their customers. One post was a short video showing the transformation of a kitchen they renovated, paired with a caption explaining the process. Instagram has just rolled out a new feature for a select group of users – DM scheduling. Yes, you’ll soon be able to schedule your messages the same way you schedule posts and Stories. 🎯

Here’s how it works:
If you have access, you can open a chat, type your message, and long-press the send button. This brings up an option to select a date and time to schedule when the DM goes out.

So, what’s the big deal, and should businesses (especially here in Dundee) pay attention?

The Pros: Why Scheduled DMs Could Be a Game-Changer 📅
1️⃣ Perfect Timing: If your customers or followers are in different time zones, you can send messages at the right time for them, even if you’re fast asleep or off the clock.

2️⃣ More Organisation: Instead of juggling replies all day, you can plan your DMs alongside your posts and Stories. For businesses, this means smoother outreach and better engagement without the last-minute scramble.

3️⃣ DMs Are Where It’s At: Instagram DMs are becoming the place where real connections happen. Whether it’s answering questions, nurturing leads, or following up on sales – being present in DMs can make all the difference.
