Is a local Classified ads section reader's would like to see?. Personally I'm fed up with trying to sell stuff on marketplace which covers the entire country, I hate the timewasters asking for bank details and asking you to post items to places you've never heard of
If you'd like to see a professional local ads page give the post a like and I'll implement it in the next few days.

Most people seem to enjoy the bygone days section, as a result I been out taking pictures of the old steeple and the rose window for the latest article about the devastating fire of 1841.

At the crack of dawn on a cold January morning in 1841, disaster struck when a devastating church fire swept through a crowded church service, leaving a

Messing about with the new layout at the moment, any suggestions about what and not to include are more than welcome.
The Covid 19 Section will disappear completely along other content, I'd love to get readers' opinions about what to include in the website.

A Fresh Start for the Paper – And for Me

After some time away, I’ve decided to come out of retirement and return to the newsroom—and with that return comes a fresh look at what this publication should be.

As we move into this new era, we're saying goodbye to a couple of old favourites that, while they were huge successes once, no longer meet the needs and interests of today's readers. Letting go of those familiar elements of the paper is never easy, but to be relevant and compelling again, we must make space for new thinking, new voices, and new energy.

Most notably, the Gardening section will no longer appear in the publication. But it’s not disappearing entirely—it’s moving online to good-garden.co.uk, where it will continue to grow with new articles, advice, and seasonal tips.

This isn’t about forgetting the past—it’s about building on it. I’m excited to bring renewed focus to community stories, local voices, and meaningful content that speaks to the times we’re living in now.

I’m grateful to be back and look forward to shaping a publication that’s sharper, more vibrant, and firmly rooted in the present.
