CHEWIE was back for his follow up acupuncture session this week! Chewie is a particularly complex case and has multiple difficult medical mysteries going on, but his lovely humans do an excellent job of having all of his needs covered and he responds very well to his needling sessions and enjoys coming to see us (we like to think it’s us, and not the treaties 👀)

From Chewies mum- “We have been going now for 2 months and the changes we’ve seen are just short of a miracle. I really feel the acupuncture is helping his whole body even mentally. I feel like I have my dog back and all he went through was just a memory”. 🫶🏻 🌟

Acupuncture can make a real difference for dogs, easing pain, improving mobility, and supporting recovery in a gentle, natural way. It’s amazing to see how relaxed and comfortable they become after each session 🐾💛

Hi everyone! 👋 I’m Lottie, a Registered Veterinary Nurse and I’m so excited to have joined the team at Pawsitive Relief 💚

I first met Emma and Danielle a while ago when I started seeing them with my own senior dog Mylo, and I’ve seen first-hand the incredible care and results Pawsitive Relief provides. It’s a privilege to now be part of that same team supporting your pets. 🫶🏻

I also work part-time as an emergency and critical care triage nurse, have previously worked in first opinion practice and have an extensive background in pet insurance. I’m a big believer in holistic, whole body and mind care and have a real soft spot for our lovely golden oldies. 💛 🐶

At Pawsitive Relief, I’ll be taking on a bit of everything from helping with the day-to-day running and management of the practice to supporting our wonderful patients and their humans wherever I can. Very frustratingly our business landline has been sold to an energy scam cold calling business. After the phone ringing every 2 minutes with a different person trying to save us on our energy bills we are shifting it to our in-hours voicemail to save our sanity while we get this sorted.

If you need to speak to us please email, or if you do call please leave your name and number and we will get back to you. Here's hoping this is a quick fix.

🐾 💦 We’ve been keeping a bit of a secret under wraps! 🐾 💦

As many of our current clients know we offer aquatic treadmill as part of our comprehensive veterinary rehabilitation services but we will soon be offering pool based hydrotherapy too at our second premises location in Langley Moor. Watch this space for more updates as well as pictures of the fit out of our brand new pool! We will also be expanding our services offering fun and fitness swims alongside medical rehabilitation. We will start taking bookings once we have a confirmed opening date so if you would like to be contacted make sure to get in touch through the socials or via our website. (All new clients will need authorisation from your primary care vet team, including those coming for fitness/fun - your pets safety is our number one priority!)

In the meantime we can highly recommend Christian and his team at CV Joinery - having worked with him for a few years now we wouldn’t use anyone else!

Another School Day! 📚 📖 🐶 👩🏻‍🏫

Dr Rogers-Smith has flown to the USA this week for a CPD (continued professional development) course brushing off her diagnostic ultrasound scanning skills. A lot of coffee is certainly needed to help with the jet-lag! ☕️

Musculoskeletal ultrasound can be a very valuable tool when it comes to not only the diagnosis of muscle and tendon injuries but also the monitoring of how effective our rehab interventions are being during the recovery process.

Watch this space as we will be adding this service for our patients in 2026!

We’ve had such a great first day at The North East Dog Festival today! So good in fact we hardly took any pictures!
