VE Day 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, commemorating the end of World War II in Europe on May 8, 1945.

This year, the UK is observing the occasion with a two-minute national silence at noon. The silence honours both those who lost their lives and those who survived. Celebrations have been taking place throughout the week, including a tea party hosted by the King and Queen for WWII veterans, a military procession and flypast, and various community events.

Our VE Day activity sheet celebrates the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe. This educational activity sheet includes facts and activities to engage children and highlight the importance of this historic event.

We also have a VE Day Blog that explores the historic events of this important day.
