Today I graduated from medical school.
It should be the happiest day of my life, but my heart feels heavy — because there’s no one waiting for me at home.
My parents dreamed of this moment even more than I did.
They were the ones who taught me that education is the one inheritance no one can take away.
And today, holding this diploma with trembling hands, I realized it carries their love, their sacrifice, and the faith they placed in me.
I cried, not out of sadness, but out of longing and pride.
Because even though they’re gone, I know they guided me to the finish line.

Sometimes, a simple gesture is all we need to keep going. 💛
