Yay 6 years today I started a page, created a silly logo ran round friends and asked David to get his credit card out, we spent over £2000 that night 😆 🤣 ( sorry David) 😆 best 2k ive ever spent.... it was a hobby as I was full time working at Rampton Hospital, on a ward with some of the most prolific "naughty" people in the UK ... I was on the women's unit and the job was hard but satisfying.
We intended to film and edit our ghost hunts with all the cameras, we had bought (4 of them) and our 1st hunt was at the Turks Head in Retford ...during the filming a mate messaged me and said why dont you go live ...I did ! Debbie Grinstead and Patricia Gorman were my 1st viewers... Pat and Deb are still here and are both delightful close friends , Debbie's even my mod.
We had around 7 people watching .... next time 15...next 25.... 47...87...and up up up it went .... we got popular in a few months hitting the high algorithms and word getting about... I woke up one morning and saw i was eligible for earning!!!! Oh ill give it a go!! within 2 years I had to go part time at work...my team had grown and so had my audience and we went boom... TV... Magazines.. sponsorship... amalgamation which both never worked, so we had to come bk in our own lane which we are now in .... I said when I reach an income to near enough match mine I shall leave my job as it was taking a toll on my knees all the falling to the floor several times a day takes a toll on ya lol.
So here we are 6 years on.... team members have come and gone, some left freinds others enemy's but I suppose its all part of the journey.
I want to take this opportunity to thanks firstly my team ... their passion for RGH is unreal, most have a short nights sleep due to being home at 1am, 2am ... some travel over an hr to get to me before we go to the location, they are volunteers as were not at a point of being able to employ as yet.
I have 34 members, Investigators, Mods,Historians, data anylists, medium and together it works!!!
Over the past 3 years I lost my Mum and sister without them I wouldn't be able to function like I am, my team were there for me emotionally and physically 💔
I have a beautiful management team Ron, Lisa, Trev who help and guide me at times when I need to make a desicion.
But a special Thanks to Ron who isnt just my Manager for RGH but he has become my best friend, my soul mate , and my side kick.
Lots of background work with events, subs day and making sure we are all legal and within business guidelines ..so thank you Ron Simpson ... here's to the next year ..... more events more challenges im.sure more laughs but more importantly more searching of that important question , Is there life after death ?
RGH MOTO ...we may never know but we have fun looking !
