🎣 First Time Fishing Chesil Beach! 🌊

My first ever trip to Chesil Beach — and wow, what a place! The fishing wasn’t easy by any means, but the views more than made up for it. It’s one of those venues that really makes you want to learn it properly and come back stronger next time.

I was fishing down by Ferrybridge using squid as bait with my Limitless Sea Fishing LTD Universal Match Rod and Limitless hooks and terminal tackle. Even though it was a tough session, the experience alone was worth it — Chesil definitely lives up to its reputation!

We were on what was supposed to be our last drift of the day when my mate hooked into a lovely autumn bass on a Super Real Sidewinder lure. 💥 From our little 3-metre boat, watching that silver flash come up through the water never gets old.
It’s always nice to end the day with a fish… though, as you can probably guess, this “last drift” turned into a few more after that 😆
Nothing beats boat fishing for bass in autumn — calm seas, good mates, and that one more cast feeling!

While out tuna fishing off the South Devon coast, we were treated to this absolute sight — the Safehaven Marine T2000 Voyager flying by at serious speed! 🌊💨

You know that moment when the bonus live bait rod suddenly screams off… and the big question starts — whose fish is it? 😅

I hooked the bait, set the depth, struck the bite and wound a few turns… then passed the rod to my mate to finish the fight. So who really gets the credit? 🤔

We always say a fish like this is a team catch, but not without a bit of friendly banter along the way!

🌬️ Good Morning Everyone!

Another windy one out there today, so no fishing for us 🎣💨

But it’s not all bad — it gives me a chance to catch up on editing, finish off building a rod, and sort through the usual pile of fishing admin.

The dogs are quite happy about it too, chilling out in the rod-building caravan while I get some work done 🐾

🔥 The Catch & Cook Garden Build is Nearly Done! 🔥

I’ve been putting this little outdoor kitchen together piece by piece — and it’s nearly ready for filming! 🎣👨‍🍳

The idea is simple: when we bring fish home from our fishing adventures, we’ll cook them right here, fresh from the sea to the plate. It’s going to add something totally different to the Muscle Fishing YouTube channel — real “catch and cook” sessions, cooked up in the garden using fresh herbs grown right beside the sink 🌿🐟

Still a few finishing touches to go, but it’s coming together nicely.

We’re out chasing bass and I try a method that most anglers completely overlook… but on this day, it was devastatingly effective! 🎯

Using the shad and boom or Portland rig you can work the lure like this.

When the bass were hugging the bottom, this was the only way to get a bite.
