This is Scotland’s “most-photographed” mountain: Buachaille Etive Mòr ⛰️
Located on the boundary of Glen Coe and Rannoch Moor, its famed for its dramatic, pyramid shape that brilliantly contrasts the surrounding vast moorland from the eastern approach, however as you venture into the Glen, it’s true complex shape begins to show. Above, the mountain is home to two Munros, various secondary peaks and some brilliant ridge traverses, making for a fantastic hike that generally takes a full day to complete and enjoy (7-9 hours).
You might also know this mountain as being the backdrop of the famous wee lonely white cottage: Lagangarbh Hut, which is actually a popular Mountaineers’ hut.
Fun fact: these were two of the first photos I took with an actual camera (opposed to my phone), might’ve went a bit heavy on the editing but I feel like it captures the winter moodiness of the glen quite well…what do you think??
