Comedian Liam Withnail’s hour Big Strong Boy has become one of the most beloved shows of 2025’s Fringe. It’s touching, vulnerable and very, very, funny. He spoke to EFR about the struggles with depression and alcoholism he opens up about in the show, his journey into comedy, and how none of us really have a f*cking clue what’s going on.

Kate Dolan: The Critic received two ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ reviews from our writers!

✍️ ‘Kate Dolan: The Critic is a masterclass in what the future of comedy should look like - inclusive, thought-provoking, and just a little wacky. The crowd I am part of is diverse, but she unites us in our laughter.’ - Casey Cortez

✍️ ‘Dolan’s style of ‘Alternative Comedy’ can only be described as an ADHD fever dream - this is stand-up like you’ve never seen it before.’ - Jemima Corcoran
