Struggling to get outside in this cold? Same here 😅
But The Infinite Explorer with Hannah Fry on gave me the spark I needed again.
From wild stories to mind-blowing facts (like Iceland being less than 20 million years old!?), it’s packed with inspiration.
If you need a boost to get back out there, give it a watch on Mondays at 8pm. Below are some of my favourite easy walks to help you stay connected with the natural world during this cold days.
1️⃣ Roslin Glen & Rosslyn Chapel – If you’re after something relaxed, this one’s perfect. You’ll wander past famous caves, neolithic carvings, the dramatic gorge at Roslin Glen, and even the semi-ruined Rosslyn Castle — all without any steep climbs.
2️⃣ Steall Falls & Nevis Gorge – Steall Falls and the Nevis Gorge, this is a serene 3.5km walk to the second highest waterfall in Scotland. You feel like you’ve been transported back in time while enjoying dramatic scenes of the famous Nevis Gorge
3️⃣ Conic Hill, Balmaha – nestled in Balmaha, the new newly renovated path takes up to one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Loch Lomond and trossachs national park.
4️⃣ Ben A’an – my first hill outside Edinburgh and still one of the best. Ben A’an, a short walk that delivers majestic views of Loch Kathrine and the surrounding peaks.
