Never thought I'd be here recommending a book about money, but this one has changed my life!

You may have seen me talk about money over the last few years - trying to get my sh*t together, to plan better - turning 50 was a bit of a wake up call.

The book is full of great insight: helping you understand why you have the relationship with money that you do. Much of it stems from childhood, how it was spoken about in your house growing up.

And compounded interest - how saving a small amount over a long time can make a big impact.

You may have seen my diamond post last month, my introduction to Kris and the team at Melville Independent Plc - they’ve helped me amalgamate all my pensions finally!

And I now have a pension and ISA plan as well as independent advice at the end of the phone whenever I have a question or wobble.

There is so much in the press right now about pensions, it can mess with your mind.

Our next Women on Top in Glasgow is a special one: Two women who have turned grief, loss, and adversity into something positive.💛

On 14th February 2020, just two months before her 4th birthday, Darcey Elizabeth Sunshine Doig tragically drowned in a swimming pool while on holiday in South Africa. In the wake of this unimaginable loss, her mum Kirsty Doig knew Darcey’s middle name had to become her legacy. She founded The Darcey Sunshine Foundation, a charity raising awareness of water safety and giving children access to vital swim survival skills. The work she’s doing already saving lives and we’re honoured to welcome her to share her story.

We’ll also be joined by Sophie McGown, the powerhouse behind Earsass. A bold & joyful jewellery brand born in lockdown that’s all about embracing your sass. On the 29th April 2023, Sophie lost her 17-year-old cousin Issy to su***de, and in her honour she created the ‘Issy Star’ earrings. £5 from every pair sold goes to Brave Mind, a charity supporting mental health in rugby, schools and unis. The earrings made headlines after Princess Kate wore them on World Mental Health Day spreading Sophie’s message even further.
