We want to invite youse to dance in the awkward space that is Fruitmarket's café bar while Joe Public spectates through those fish-tank windaes at all yr worst moves, but arch-contrariant Dave Paton promises to eschew the shuffle-friendly ambient & techno sounds associated with his Being and Buttmasters aliases across the past four decades, in favour of potentially whitey-inducing, industrial-strength, noisy electro. Oh well... at least he shares a name with the guy from Pilot, and that guy did some Xmas songs.....

Was I wrong in 1999 when I said that Melt-Banana would be as big as Nirvana? Was I incorrect in 2008 when I predicted that folks would speak the name Maths Balance Volumes with the reverence usually reserved for Crazy Horse? The answer is “AYE,” and I’ll proudly & inaccurately tell you that L will have a Xmas number one in 2026!
