Fancy living here? 🏰 This grand Baronial castle which was a regular holiday destination for King George VI is up for sale.

Orchil Castle in Perthshire has seven bedrooms and is set within approximately 56 acres of landscaped parkland.

The estate has witnessed a colourful past, from hosting royal dignitaries to serving as a World War II look-out post.

This is one of the most remote art installations on Earth... 😯

It was created by Angus artist Michael Visocchi to honour 175,000 whales lost to the whaling industry in South Georgia.

The sub-Antarctic island was once the epicentre of the modern whaling industry.

Now it is hoped the new artwork commissioned by South Georgia Heritage Trust will serve as a permanent reminder of the whales lost.

Wow! Some incredible discoveries from Culloden Battlefield... 👏🤩

Archaeologists have recovered more than 100 projectiles, including lead musket balls and cannon shot.

The new findings, from an area of the battlefield that had not previously yielded any archaeological discoveries.

'Musket balls fired by Jacobite and government troops, including pistol balls fired by government dragoons, likely relate to one of the last actions in the battle.'

An exceptionally rare watercolour painting by Margaret Macdonald, wife of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, has sold for £94,500... 😱🎨

The work, Ophelia, painted in 1908, depicts the fictional figure lying in water after her relationship with Hamlet ended in the famous Shakespeare play.

The painting, which had not been seen in public since it was last purchased in 1985, sold at a Lyon & Turnbull auction.

This month we caught up with one of Britain’s youngest cheesemakers... 🧀

Last year Ben joined Strathearn Cheese helping out with deliveries and odd jobs, but he found himself drawn to the cheesemaking.

When his boss announced plans to sell the business, Ben decided to take a huge leap of faith and put an offer in to buy the firm.

Now he is bringing back two much loved cheeses and said he wants to keep the traditional skills alive.
