Hellhouse is a dark experimental pop shoegaze band from Los Angeles, California founded by Chris Spino (aka Coma Girls) as an outlet for heavy guitar sounds and extreme pedal experimentation. After a decade away from bands outside Coma Girls, Spino brought together collaborators for this new project. The debut Hellhouse EP written by Spino with Kai Richard debuts on March 28th, 2025.

The debut Hellhouse EP, produced by longtime Coma Girls collaborator Christian Paul Phillippi ( ) and mastered by Joey Oaxaca, explores covert misanthropy and struggles with alcoholism. The record channels the baritone stylings of Rozz Williams and Ian Curtis while maintaining a sharp pop sensibility and expansive sonic atmosphere. Recorded live with minimal overdubs, the EP features Kai Richards and Chris Spino as songwriters, with drums by Shravan Surendran and bass by Mark Cieslikowski.

Scoffs - “Scraps (2021 A.D.)” was set to be Scoffs’ follow-up album to Scoffs “self-titled” (Scott Robert Allen) release back in 2020. With the unfortunate passing by death of the internet in 2021, Scoffs was taken away from us too soon. These last five songs will live out his legacy.

Joshua Epstein (of JR. JR. ) graciously sang on the single “Possible Opener/To Be Gone Forever” in this latest release. Thanks, Josh.
