Porty Q***r Football Community Fundraiser!!

A night of DJs, dancing, and q***r joy all in support of Porty Q***r Football Community 🌈⚽

PQFC is an non-competitive, generous q***r football community and we are working to reduce the barriers to inclusive football. 100% of funds raised will go towards supporting the community, helping cover equipment costs and pitch hire and keeping sessions accessible for everyone 🌈

🎶 Historic Reunion Alert! 🎶

Scottish music icon McDonald is reuniting with Scottish Chamber Orchestra for a one-off performance at the Barrowland Ballroom Glasgow on Friday 23rd January 2026, as part of Celtic Connections 2026.

This special show celebrates 30 years since their groundbreaking 1995 concert, the first time an orchestra ever performed at the Barrowland, and coincides with the 35th anniversary of The Same Sky.

With Paul Leonard-Morgan conducting and Audrey Riley’s original arrangements, Horse and the SCO will recreate the magic with a stunning blend of classical and contemporary music, delivered in the unforgettable style that only Horse can bring.

Interviews are underway for our oral history project! We've been having brilliant conversations about the original Lavender Menace and West & Wilde bookshops, and LGBTQ+ reading in the 80s and 90s more generally. Already we've covered loads of different topics, including local activism, bookshops as a community resource, slash fanfic, and the importance of representation.

We're looking for more interviewees who would like to discuss their memories of books from the 80s and 90s, and the original Lavender Menace and West & Wilde bookshops.
