Production Co-ordinator, FREAK FILMS, Leith/Edinburgh.
Are you a dynamic individual who can multi-task and remain calm under pressure? Do you love Excel and Microsoft Office? Do you have a great attitude and like to be on set and working in the office? FREAK FILMS are looking for an organized and proactive Production Coordinator to join our team and look after our varied productions. The successful candidate will be responsible for production scheduling and logistics on commercials, corporate films, museum AV’s and documentaries.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience of working as a Production Co-ordinator, this project will require flexible working hours and potentially working away from base for a number of weeks at a time. Salary commensurate with experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
You will support the Production Manager and provide day-to-day support to your production and editorial team. You should have experience setting up PPMs and shoots, working with budgets, hiring crew, arranging travel, etc.
You should be able to anticipate potential production issues and find creative solutions as well as managing several projects with conflicting demands and tight deadlines.
It’s essential that you can work effectively with a small production team, freelance crew and contributors and members of the public.
You will also run the production office: ordering office supplies, office maintenance.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Previous experience co-ordinating within a production team
- Able to work on your own without supervision, relying on your initiative.
- Proficient in Excel for Budgeting and Microsoft Office etc
- Essential Budgeting skills - able to prepare, manage and/or monitor
- Knows how to identify and source suitable resources and negotiate deals with vendors and crew.
- Well developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills - able to schedule and prioritise people and activities to meet operational deadlines.
- Excellent Communication Skills (English as first language)
- Knowledge of the Edinburgh media industry and the wider Scottish media industry.
- Demonstrable experience of working productively and collaboratively within a diverse production team.
- Recognised formal Health & Safety training (including Risk Assessment).
- Knowledge and experience of licensing procedures including Child performance regulations
- You must have a clean UK Driver’s License, be over 25 years old and have confidence driving 9 seater vehicles or vans.
