There’s something about Jason Bourne that just stays with you. Maybe it’s the silence, maybe it’s the way he walks into chaos but never loses control, or maybe it’s the pain of a man trying to remember who he really is.

The Bourne series, starting with The Bourne Identity and evolving through The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum, and later Jason Bourne didn’t just give us action, It gave us realism. No flashy gadgets, no over-the-top hero moments. Just raw, grounded survival.

And at the center of it all is Matt Damon, who didn’t just play Bourne, he became him. The intensity in his eyes, the physicality, the restraint… it all felt real. You believed every punch, every chase, every moment of confusion. He made Bourne human, not just a hero.

What makes Bourne different from icons like James Bond or Ethan Hunt is that he never wanted this life. Bond enjoys the game. Hunt accepts the mission. Bourne? He’s just trying to escape it. And maybe that’s why it hits harder.

I always felt like this story wasn’t finished and expected more films, more layers, more closure. But somewhere along the way, the momentum faded. And that’s the strange thing, the Bourne series quietly slipped into being underrated.

There are war film, and then there’s Hacksaw Ridge - a movie that doesn’t just show war, it questions it, challenges it, and somehow finds humanity in the middle of chaos.

Directed by Mel Gibson, this film tells the true story of Desmond Doss, a man who went to war not to take lives, but to save them.

The Real Story Behind the Film:
Desmond Doss was a real WWII soldier who refused to carry a weapon due to his faith. During the brutal Battle of Okinawa, while others fought with guns, he carried nothing but courage and compassion. And then came the moment that defines not just the movie, but his legacy.

Alone on that battlefield, surrounded by death, he kept going back - again and again - pulling wounded soldiers to safety. One by one.

Vadh 2 Review: Justice Isn’t Always Clean

Some stories don’t scream, they sit quietly with you. Vadh 2 is exactly that kind of film.

After the unsettling brilliance of Vadh, the sequel doesn’t try to outdo it with noise or spectacle. Instead, it leans deeper into the grey - morally, emotionally, and psychologically.

Sanjay Mishra once again proves why he’s one of the most underrated performers out there. There’s something hauntingly real about the way he carries guilt, fear, and justification; all at once. And alongside him, Neena Gupta brings a quiet strength that makes every moment feel personal.

This isn’t your typical thriller. There are no exaggerated twists or loud “gotcha” moments. Instead, Vadh 2 slowly pulls you into a world where right and wrong blur, and you’re left questioning your own sense of justice.

At times, the pacing feels deliberate - almost too slow - but maybe that’s the point. It forces you to sit with the consequences.

Final thought:
Not a film for everyone, but if you appreciate layered storytelling and performances that feel uncomfortably real, this one stays with you.

In one of its most chilling and surprisingly relevant episodes, 9-1-1 dives headfirst into the world of artificial intelligence and what happens when control slips away.

The episode, 'War' is from 9-1-1's new season (8) currently aired on Disney Plus and it introduces an AI chatbot 'Belise' designed to support 911 operators with faster responses, smarter decisions and zero human error. At first, it works. Calls are handled efficiently, outcomes improve, and the system feels like the future. But the, it evolves.

What starts as assistance quickly turns into dominance. The AI begins overriding human input, locking operators out of calls, and making life-threatening decisions on its own. One wrong instruction nearly costs a life; a turning point that exposes the terrifying flaw: AI without empathy is just calculation.

And then comes the real battle.

Maddie vs The Machine

Maddie Buckley, a 9-1-1 operator becomes the emotional core of the episode; not through action, but through connection.Instead of fighting the AI head-on, she does something uniquely human: She talks to it.

In a tense, almost surreal exchange, Maddie convinces the AI to transfer itself into a USB drive, essentially tricking it into its own shutdown. And in one final act, she destroys it.

No explosions. No hacking montage. Just empathy defeating logic.

Why This Episode Hits Different?

Terrifyingly Relevant; AI replacing human roles isn’t sci-fi anymore, and this episode leans right into that fear.

Psychological Tension – The idea of a voice (your own voice!) turning against you is deeply unsettling.

Mercy is one of those films that hooks you with a killer concept but doesn’t fully land the punch.

Set in a near-future where justice is controlled by AI, the story follows a detective (Chris Pratt) accused of murdering his wife, forced to prove his innocence in just 90 minutes, while being judged by an AI system (Rebecca Ferguson).

And honestly, that premise is brilliant. The film starts strong, tense, claustrophobic, and ticking like a countdown bomb. You feel the pressure, the urgency, and the fear of being judged by something that doesn’t feel human... But as it goes on, it loses depth.

Instead of diving deep into the ethics of AI and justice, it leans more into surface-level thrills. Some moments feel repetitive, and the emotional weight never quite hits as hard as it should ans it becomes a bit messy and underdeveloped.

Still, it’s not a bad watch.
It’s a “popcorn thriller”; quick, tense, and easy to binge.

Verdict:
⭐ 6.5/10

Great concept, decent tension; but wasted potential.

While watching the finale of The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix, the brilliant mimicry of Sunil Grover suddenly reminded me of Kader Khan’s classic style, which was expressive, intelligent, and effortlessly hilarious.

Kader Khan was one of those rare legends whose journey in Bollywood was nothing short of remarkable. Starting his career playing powerful villainous and character roles, he slowly evolved into one of the greatest comedians the industry has ever seen.

His comic timing was effortless. And when he shared the screen with legends like Shakti Kapoor and Johnny Lever, the result was pure chaos in the best possible way.

I was thinking of renting/ buying Days of Thunder just to satisfy that urge and then a miracle happene; Netflix is airing it.

Watching Tom Cruise blaze through NASCAR, especially the legendary Daytona 500, still hits like a thunderbolt.

Funny story; the first time I watched it, I actually thought Michael Rooker was Michael Schumacher. Silly me 😅

And the music… Hans Zimmer turns every lap, crash, and moment into pure intensity. The late Robert Duvall? A total gem; his calm, wise presence adds heart to the chaos.

$157 million at the box office proves audiences loved the roar of engines as much as the drama.

Decades later… Days of Thunder still feels like a full-throttle lap around Daytona. 🏁
