We had an action packed weekend for my 47th birthday as we spent it down in the famous fishing town of Hastings on the south coast of England
We stayed at the Guestling Hall Hotel which we enjoyed however this hotel needs some major renovation and upgrades, with the right investment it would make a stunning Boutique hotel
It was the cosy attic room that sold it for us also it was the last room available so we didn’t have much of a choice lol, the managers we spoke to were lovely and make us feel at home, we would definitely stay again
So the main reasons to visit Hastings was to get on the East Hill Lift which is the UK’s steepest Funicular Railway at 75° and to get another Caterpillar coaster cred at Flamingo Park Hastings, their retro Ghost Train is a must
We also went on the Miniature Railway, had cake and coffee at Sully’s Cafe, saw some amazing vintage Scooters which bizarrely made me emotional seeing them all ride off into the distance and we went into the slots
After all that a good friend of mine told me about Monty Hammond & Sons Funfairs which was on at the Oval in Hastings so we popped there for a couple of hours, this fair has some very unique rides including the awesome Ali Baba
