Snow Won't Slow Us Down!

Despite the recent snow, we’ve been hard at work in Oldmeldrum and Newmacher, assisting clients with the removal of hazardous Spruce trees. Some of these trees had previously blown down, causing damage, and posed a risk to nearby buildings, assets, and cables.

So you all know to exercise caution around the blown down trees...

There's something else you need to keep your guard up & your eyes open for though when your out and about. (especially after high winds)
'widow maker' - 'hanger' -'fool killer'- are terms you may have heard.
These are broken or dead branches that get caught in amongst the trees that are ready to fall at any moment.
Look below at the pictures of one we retrieved from a customers last week, they can be very large yet still difficult to see.

We where at an Aberdeenshire farm this week cross cutting and splitting fallen Beech trees to produce quality fire wood. Saw man, tractor, & splitter for hire. Aswell as other contracting services. 🚜🌳🪵🪓
