Fermanagh and Omagh District Council’s Community Irish Language Classes will return to Enniskillen for 2026/27, delivered in partnership with Fermanagh GAA.

Classes are available at Beginner, Intermediate (Lower and Upper) and Advanced levels and will run for 10 weeks.

Enniskillen – Enniskillen Castle - Thursdays | 7.00pm–8.30pm

Everyone is welcome including new learners and returning attendees.

Join us for Tales from the Vaults: Gallow's Green to Bishop's End, a spine-tingling evening of local history, folklore and ghostly tales from the Castle Vaults. From Bishop McMahon's grisly fate to the souls said to linger around Gallow's Green, this is a Halloween experience not for the faint-hearted.

"The Peterhead Men" Exhibition closes this Sunday, 20 September.

There’s still time to explore this thought-provoking exhibition at Enniskillen Castle, which tells the story of a little-known chapter of Irish history following the signing of the Anglo-Irish Treaty in 1921.

Through photographs, documents and personal stories, The Peterhead Men examines the arrest and imprisonment of a group of Irish republican prisoners, several of whom had connections to Fermanagh and their time in Scotland's notorious Peterhead Prison.

The exhibition is organised in partnership with Leitrim County Library and closes on Sunday 20 September.
