As I prepare for my next talk at the Womenās Empowerment Summit in Dublin next Saturday, Iām reminded of the joy and privilege it is to share my story, but more importantly, the tools and insights that can serve others on their journey.
If speaking is part of your 2025 vision, here are the biggest lessons Iāve learned along the way:
1ļøā£ Itās Not About You:
Speaking on stages with big audiences can feel daunting at first. I had many opportunities for this during my network marketing days. My biggest obstacle was getting out of my own head and overcoming the fear of how I looked or sounded. I learned that itās not about me, itās about the people in front of me. The moment I focused on serving my audience instead of my own insecurities, everything changed.
2ļøā£ Build a Solid Foundation:
Over the past four years, Iāve built a strong foundation as a speaker. My story is at the heart of what I share, but Iāve learned the importance of balancing storytelling with actionable insights. Itās about empowering the audience to take meaningful steps in their lives and leaving them inspired to grow, transform, and thrive.
3ļøā£ Focus on the Message, Not the Role:
The most profound lesson Iāve learned is this, being a speaker is about so much more than standing on a stage. Itās about becoming the messenger. When you focus on the message youāre sharing with the world, you have the power to create a ripple effect, sparking deep, meaningful change and transformation that extends far beyond the room. By fully embodying the purpose behind your message, you create connections that resonate long after the moment has passed.
Hereās my message to you:
Your words have power. Itās not just about having a polished presentation or perfect delivery (though those are important). The real magic happens when you step into your power, radiate your realness, and pour your energy and purpose into your message.
And yes, I still get all the feels before and as I walk on that stage, nerves and all! But hereās what Iāve learned: those nerves? Theyāre just adrenaline, and they mean you care. Without them, your energy might not be coming from the right place. So, embrace the butterflies, theyāre just part of the magic!
Being a speaker isnāt just about the stage, itās about the connection, the transformation, and the impact you can create.
Letās make 2025 the year we step boldly into our purpose, share our powerful stories, and create lasting change together.
Whatās the message youāre ready to share with the world? š ā¤ļø
