We are installing 4 x Dahua 8MP TiOC Pro cameras, connected to an 8-channel NVR with a huge 6TB surveillance hard drive for plenty of recording capacity.

We will also be installing a Dahua Wi-Fi battery-powered video doorbell with an indoor chime and 128GB of local storage—keeping an eye on the front door without relying on a monthly cloud subscription.

I just searched hours of CCTV footage using one sentence… 🤯

While visiting IFA Berlin, I got the opportunity to test Dahua’s new WizSeek technology on one of its latest NVRs.

Instead of manually searching through hours of recorded footage, WizSeek allows you to describe the person, vehicle or object you’re looking for—and the AI searches the recordings for potential matches.

This could make finding important CCTV footage considerably faster and easier.

Out on a farm installing CCTV where the cameras and NVR are nowhere near each other.

Rather than digging trenches and running huge lengths of cable, we’re creating a wireless network link across the farm using a pair of TP-Link Omada wireless bridges, feeding everything back to the office where the NVR will be located.

We’ll also be using TP-Link network switches to bring the whole system together.

Farm CCTV doesn’t always mean miles of cable. Sometimes the network does the travelling. 📡🚜
