🥩Steak Night for Men 🥩

Working closely with the Elston Family, we would love to welcome MEN working in farming and agricultural related businesses within our farming community to a steak night at Woolhanger Estate at 7pm on Thursday 7th May, 2026.

As you may be aware, last December, we lost one of our farming community, Robin Elston. Following the successful receipt of grant funding from Devon Community Foundation towards mental health support for our farming community, the family of Robin and the network are holding a steak supper night. A social evening to get away from the farm and meet up with like-minded people.

Please feel free to bring along a friend and we encourage you to invite friends, neighbours or other within the wider community who may not usually attend these events.

Cost is £12,50pp to include a steak with all the trimmings and a pudding.

Dietary requirements and bookings by Monday 4th May to [email protected] or 01643 841455.

Bookings limited so please book early using the above contact details.

A beautiful sunrise service at Brendan Common, thank you to all involved 🙏

This looks interesting for all involved with rural communities.

Church Action on Poverty members have organised the online event Connecting & strengthening rural voices on poverty for May 21 at 10.30am to discuss ‘church and community approaches to rural poverty and build connections between communities’.

The Diocese of Truro funded the recently released ‘Pretty Poverty Report: Cornwall Rurality Matters’ document, an 18-month long research project led by Professor Tanya Ovenden-Hope, with researchers Victoria Brown and Elpida Achtaridou.

See Truro Diocese for more details and to book.
