Bit more modern that most of my tracks but such a great groove. Life During Wartime - Talking Heads (1979).

Back to the Northern Soul groove. If You Ever Walk Out Of My Life - Dena Barnes (1967).

Quite appropriate given the recent weather! Wade In The Water - Ramsey Lewis (1972).

And another funk classic - just a tad more modern than the previous two. Me And Baby Brother - War (1973).

Who’s Making Love - Johnnie Taylor (1968). Similar groove to the Isleys (previous post) and same great King Mark, Newquay memories.

I Spy For The FBI - Jamo Thomas (1966). First heard this at the Saturday night discos at the old King Mark pub In Newquay. Still a cracker.

Ain’t That Peculiar- Marvin Gaye (1966). Great track, made even more special by the fact that Al Hodge and The Mechanics opened their early 80s shows with their (much rockier) cover version. Great memories.

You’ve Go To Crawl - The 8th Day (1971). Missed this the first time round and recently discovered on a compilation - had to get a copy!

My Man, A Sweet Man - Millie Jackson. Classic 1972 track that always features in the set.
