A MOMENT TO PAUSE AND REFLECT

Patrick Hawes' Quanta Qualia is one of the composer's most popular choral works and brings a moment of quiet contemplation to our programme on 21 November.

Setting words by his brother, the Revd Andrew Hawes, the music expresses a longing for the joys of heaven and the promise of a future meeting. Featuring a soaring soprano solo and richly expressive choral writing, Quanta Qualia is filled with hope, wonder and anticipation.

Performed by Exeter Philharmonic Choir and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Quanta Qualia provides a moving contrast within an evening of inspiring choral and orchestral music.
