Their unique blend of British classics with a Mediterranean twist has earned Brothers a devoted following – driven (in our opinion) largely by their signature ‘Eggs Bennies’, smash-style burgers and open sourdough sandwiches 🍳

Now, the pair have just launched their evening menu, Wednesday – Saturday, just in time for summer sundowners, small plates, and watching the world go by 🍹

On any given day, at any time of year, you may spot Teignmouth-based Karen Marshall Outdoor Swim Coach sea swimming along the stretch of coast covering her hometown, Dawlish, Dawlish Warren, Coryton Cove and sometimes towards Torquay. She may be swimming for her own enjoyment or coaching – which can vary from those arriving in their swimming costumes for a first dip to fully wet-suited triathletes… 🏊🏻‍♀️🏊🏻‍♂️🏊🏻

Karen started swimming in the sea when she moved to Devon about 12 years ago, then completing her open water swim coaching qualification in 2020. “Over time I’d seen people get into a bit of trouble in the water and realised that sometimes there was real danger. There were moments when I felt a bit out of my depth - literally - trying to help. I wanted to understand things properly, both from a safety and technique perspective,” she explains.

Very excited to get a mention in this month's Teignmouth and Dawlish One Magazine! 👏

Please join us tomorrow at our launch event for Dawlish's first Wild Pollinator Trail at The Strand Community Centre, 10:30 - 1:30.

There will be a free floristry demonstration starting at 12:15, and throughout the day you'll have the opportunity to pick up trail maps (including kids trail), make your own seed balls, learn about pollinators, grab some seeds, do some colouring, and meet The seaside florist Devon, who creates thoughtful, handcrafted flowers!
