CHAMPIONS!!!! 🏆

Today we played the final stages of the Norton Cup at Ipswich Bowls Club.

In the Semi Final our opponents were Cornard, who we've met at the same stage before. We made a solid start and built on that to comfortably see out a 40-22 win across the two rinks.
Bob Sillett, Carl Johnson, Phil Page & Andrew Drummond won 18-5 v Richard Leeder
Darryl Snell, Ben Beamish, Scott Parrin & Mark Euston won 22-17 v Kyle Leeks.

Onto the Final, where we played Norbridge (who had beaten Felixstowe & Suffolk in the other semi). A much tighter affair and a short rain delay led to a tighter finish but some solid bowls at the end helped us over the line with a 36-28 scoreline.

Well done team 👍🏻👏🏻🏆

It was pointed out that we didn't lose on any rinks in our run to the trophy, which is quite the achievement.

We go again tomorrow in the Quinton Bowl!

Yesterday daytime our The Blossom Charity trail statue, Goldie the lovely chicken, was taken from our window display. We are hopeful that Goldie will be recovered in time for the auction at The Oaksmere on 24th September. The trail and auction raises thousand of pounds for the Blossom Charity every year and is a wonderful fundraiser that brings the residents of Eye real joy every year, spotting the beautiful statues decorating the town.

NEW! STUDENT ART CLUB

Join us for our new after school art club for 12-18's.

Embracing the notion of Art for All these sessions introduce techniques that are an essential base for creative learning and exploring our imagination. They are open to all levels of creativity working at your own pace in a fun and safe environment.

Suitable for both mainstream and home educated children and young people.

Led by artist Jo Shepherd.

Wednesdays 5-7pm (Weekly during term-time)
Starting 24th September
£2 per person - materials included and café open for drinks
Booking Required

These sessions are part of The Bank's "Creative Workshop Programme" Funded by Babergh & Mid Suffolk District Council
