Ever wondered how to be more Deaf aware in everyday life?

It’s not about getting it perfect — it’s about being open, thoughtful, and making small shifts that create real impact.

Here are a few simple ways to start:

1. 👀 Always face the person when speaking — this makes lip reading possible.
2.🫢 Don’t cover your mouth — hands, cups, or turning away all block visual cues.
3. 🗣 Use clear, simple language — avoid jargon and speak naturally.
4. ❤️ Be patient and kind — communication is a two-way street.
5. ❓Find out how they like to communicate — every deaf person has different ways of communicating.

Deaf Awareness Week is a powerful reminder: accessibility isn’t just about ramps or signs — it’s about connection, empathy, and effort.

By learning and sharing these small changes, we create a world that’s more inclusive for everyone, not just this week — but always.

The website maybe temporarily closed but I’m still here. Perhaps a little quiet, but behind the scenes? Oh, it’s anything but! Think late nights, endless checklists, and maybe just one too many cups of coffee (okay, fine—three). I’m here, surrounded by fabric, elastic, labels, and that little spark of excitement knowing your orders are on their way.

I know the shop being “closed” is not ideal, but I promise it’s all for a good reason. Every single order I’m working on is a tiny piece of joy heading to your doorstep, carefully packed and sent with love.

Running a small business means juggling all the roles, but it also means connecting with the most incredible people—you! So while the website might be temporarily closed, know that I’m still here, working hard and thinking of all of you.
