Have had a decent amount of messages and interest regarding the Mock-Competition.

If enough of us are interested likely capped at 10 - we could have another pre-season. (next 4/5weeks)

Good “mock competition” pre-season for those in attendance today. Thanks to our 6 throwers as well as Walter and Robert who judged.
(Special mentions to Pete who broke down en route).

Four seasons in one day was the spirit of today.
It did thankfully come good by the time we got to the last event- the hammer.

Hey Folks.

Gauging interest before organising.

Would anyone be interested in having a competition environment measured throw in mid April?

Hosted in Falkirk with events likely being :

Shot Putt
Braemar
WFD (Possible light and heavy)
Scots Hammer (Possibly light and heavy)
WFH (stands pending).

Early days but seeing if there is enough interest to organise some actual "officials" and equipment.

The jump from Juniors (Under 18) to the open is a rough one. Great to see opportunities filling the gaps.

Too old for the juniors, a bit young for the seniors- new to Blackford, 18-22 years heavy weight events.

Crieff - Sunday 30th June.
Market Park, Crieff, PH7 3EH.

We are aiming to run our first training session at the date and location above. This will focus on working with the Shot/Stones and Weight for distance with further dates planned for the other events.

The layout will be two session Morning//Afternoon.
10:00-12:00 Session 1 13:00-15:00 Session 2.

Cost will be £30 - Further Details to Follow.

Hey Folks,

Looking to gauge interest for a series of Highland Games Heavy Events training days.

We were thinking May-June-July and depending on interest and success - over the Winter. Ideally located centrally in Scotland Perthshire area.

These would be ran with a fee Per Person (TBC) and split into a few sessions through the morning/afternoon focusing on ability level and in-depth breakdown of events.

Hoping to keep it accessible and offer for every level.
