When you pull together University of Gloucestershire Sound & Music students, Journalism students and Television Production students then you get an awesome crew and an awesome educational opportunity. "Doing it for real" by providing a full 8hrs of live music broadcasting, interviews and atmos' for Winchcombe Party in the Park. Multitrack stage mixes, ad hoc backstage interviews, five camera positions, pizza, coffee and a whole heap of fun! Thanks to Pete Sen and Paul Madle from Winchcombe Party in the Park and the superb internet connection from a field in the middle of nowhere provided by ReformIT that kept us up and on-air through till dusk. Thanks also to everyone who provided for such a great day out and who contributed to a great live stream. Bring on 2026. www.bba.media

Brilliant to be back on the road with the England 60s Cricket squad and our first live broadcast of the forthcoming season. With every OB a new hand of technical cards gets dealt, and even when you return to the same locations, things will have changed; truck access, passwords, weather, traffic jams, cable runs, local personnel etc. etc.! This is my stress - the only people that stay calm throughout are my amazing television production and sports journalism graduates from the . The crew this year are just about to leave university, fully qualified and experienced in these real world scenarios. So, they'll be looking for full-time posts, and hey, you don't want to miss giving them the opportunity to join your company - grab that opportunity with both hands! Thanks too to all the squad members, team sponsors and our hosts at Newport Cricket Club. These events rely on exemplary collaboration and cooperation. Onwards to the next live event... watch this space! www.bba.media

A fantastic 3-day stint of multi-sports coverage with multitalented Sports Journalism and Television Production students from . This is a true 'doing it for real' opportunity. There is nothing like the live environment to raise the adrenalin levels and sharpen skills - and everyone rose to the occasion. From the technical rigging, the operation of a temporary broadcast environment across several venues, live commentary, live pitch-side interviews across several hours of volleyball, futsal, rugby and football - and of course the end of day tear-down - all executed with focus, skill, care and good humour. Thanks also to the for their engagement and support. A real privilege to work with you all.

Another great OB event for Television Production students at to get stuck into. This time live streaming a 3.5hr youth music event from a Cotswold-based arts centre. With limited resources the team were able to broaden the reach of this new arts enterprise and help develop their audience - and also show off their own broadcast skills in-the-making! Thanks to all from the Isbourne Arts and Party in the Chapel team. Looking forward to the summer Party in the Park event! www.bba.media

Back court-side with the Television Production students but this time hosting a cohort of Sports Journalism students cutting their teeth on match commentary, pre-match preview presentations and post-match interviews. Superbly impressed by their preparation and confidence on-camera - and a fantastic install by the TVP team after the match was brought forward by two hours!!! Thanks also to Naomi Hall, ex-England netball player who became our pundit! Such a privilege to work with the next generation of media professionals - watch out they're coming!

Another great day out with Television Production students undertaking a challenging "Carols for Christmas" OB from the Francis Close Hall campus Chapel. Battling acoustics, light levels, and buildings simply not designed for television, put all their skills to the test - and they passed with flying colours! Looking forward to the next adventure with www.bba.media and the UoG student crew!

So, the new cohort of Television Production students landed for their first hands-on, real world streaming experience of SU netball yesterday. The group were charged with familiarising themselves with a complex OB truck, rigging cameras and audio resources in the venue, and then forming the crew to stream live to a YouTube audience late afternoon. They were joined by experienced UoG Sports Journalism students to run commentary and interviews which really was the icing on the cake for a fantastic inaugural live broadcast. Brilliant to watch and support these TV production & journalism professionals in the making. That's just what we do at www.bba.media

A great day out, tucked backstage near the new City Campus to live stream the Christmas lights switch on yesterday for . A superb team from UoG Television Production and Journalism were there from 10am, hands on, 'doing it for real', live on air, until a very damp pack-up early evening.

With OBs, no scenario is ever the same, even if the location and kit is. This sharpens skills, embeds solution-based approaches and raises the adrenaline levels admirably!! Great to work with the City Council and the Rotary Club to bring this busy event to the online audience.
