Our dearest acquaintance and close affiliate of the Helmet Council, lieutenant Ross Sanders is an artiste of sorts, a sorter of thoughts one might say.
Amongst the many discombobulations that Ross spawns, he makes websites with his pal and Javascript Guru Jamie Curnow (Jamie is also known to be a master alchemist and sometimes enjoys marmalade).
This is one website they have made together:
https://goodnewsfromoutthewindow.com/scroll/?fbclid=IwAR08rinve7iqaskrWUy6NSwDJLfjbs-YpZnc_M7z02ga7WXO-Nb8FrCPjtY
It allows one to scroll infinitely (there is a scroll count in the bottom left of the page) and place a short bit of text wherever one pleases. The site will remember how far down the text has been placed and the only way to return to the text is by scrolling back down as far as necessary.
Starting Monday, for a period of one earthly week, Ross' and Jamie's website will be on display in one of Falmouth University's prestigious and acclaimed Woodlane Windows. For this show they have collaborated with Senior Technician at the Uni, Andrew Currie, who has made a mechanical finger that continuously scrolls down the site. andy doesnt seem to have a facebook, the lamo.. but check out this link for more infro https://www.falmouth.ac.uk/staff/andrew-currie
Helmet Records is suggesting that the general public (YOU) spends this weekend populating the website with bits of writing, short poems, declarations of love, credit card numbers, sort codes, PINs etc etc.. YOU can be part of an ART!
Nonsensical and mad ramblings are much welcome to this project, as young Ross' vision explains, however offensive comments, abuse and general unpleasantries will be censored (and dont worry they wont have to scroll down all the way to get there either !) We hope to see some interesting and creative things pop up over the next week or so.
Many thanks to all that have kept on reading throughout this.......... HELMET x
