"You can't park there, mate!"
My trip to Farnborough Airshow today was only possible because I bypassed all the huge traffic jams and parked the Hygge Vester right at the end of the runway. Cars couldn't get near this place. My Go-Off 'Pilot' cycle helmet seemed appropriate today!

The seven Chinese jets flying in formation with smoke were good, as was the F35 Stealth fighter, but of course the Eurofighter is stole the show! Whether it's slow or fast.

Have you ever been frustrated by all those lovely car parks all over the New Forest where overnight stays are banned? Well the answer might be Denny Wood Campsite which doesn't have many facilities and is also very cheap. Standard price is £14 but if you book on the day it is £12.

They do insist that you have your own chemical toilet and will check when you arrive, but at that price I think it's almost unique in the heart of the New Forest. They do have a water supply and also wastewater drop points and plenty of ponies wandering through.

Parked up, waiting for the northern soul gig last night. My campervan and Hygge have enabled me to go to so many gigs.

Tomorrow, off to the New Forest for some rides around the trails on those big soft tyres

It was lovely staying at Tregedna Farm campsite, less than 2 miles from Falmouth.

There's a big hill on the way into town which my ebike ate up happily in 17 minutes and we passed a cool bar which overlooks the beach in the photo. For £13.50 I used showers, toilets and all the usual water facilities. There is a kids play area too. Electric hookup is extra.

There aren't many shower cubicles but most people have their own.

Millendreath to Looe in Cornwall on my Hygge Vester ebike. A fair-sized hill going there and reached over 42mph down it, coming back!

Please note the warning about staying at Millendreath car park overnight in the comments below.

What a lovely town and lovely people.

After trundling around pretty Brixham on my folding ebike, enjoying sunsets at the beach as if I was in the south of France, I stayed by the harbour after paying the £11 council charge which is very reasonable considering the views. I stayed in Oxen Cove car park but the seagulls get excited when the fishing boats go out at stupid o'clock in the morning! So the car park by the Breakwater Bistro would have been quieter and it has its own beach.

Anyway, in the morning, I woke up to a nightmare! The pop top hinge was broken, I couldn't drive anywhere above 20mph. But I asked some marine engineers at a nearby business to help me out and we managed to repair it together. I offered them cash to say thank you for getting me back on the road again, but they wouldn't take a penny. Devon people are great, and Brixham is a wonderful example.
