The first Co-production session took place at YourSpace, Gosport today, to shape a series of creative Black Out Poetry workshops exploring Gosport’s heritage, funded by The The National Lottery Heritage Fund and administered by Hampshire Cultural Trust. Together we’ll uncover stories, voices, and perspectives that matter to our community today.
Please take a moment to tell us which theme you find most interesting - your input will guide the workshops and ensure they reflect what matters most to local people.
A) Who we are, where we’ve come from – exploring how Gosport’s identity has been shaped by people and cultures from many different places, reminding us that “Britishness” has always been diverse.
B) How Gosport’s communities have evolved – looking at the many ways people have come together, from family ties in the past to shared struggles in war, through to how technology and Covid have changed how we connect.
C) From letters to likes: community in change – tracing how community has shifted through family life, wartime, and beyond, and how digital technology now underpins how we connect.
D) Who makes Gosport? – looking at the people and groups, from all walks of life, who have built and continue to build the town.
